On Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM, the Pump Up the Purple 300 Foundation hosted a special presentation / clinic titled “Campus Life After High School.”
We had the pleasure of hosting 2 students from the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
- Mr. Matthew Tanner, a recent graduate with a degree in Music and African American Studies
- Mr. Kennon Johnson, a third-year student majoring in Computer Science and Music
This event brought together students and community members for an engaging discussion focused on the transition from high school to college life, with an emphasis on academic, social, and personal adjustment.
Together, they shared firsthand insights into navigating college life, balancing academics with extracurricular commitments, and building a strong foundation for success after high school.
This session provided practical guidance and encouraged open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities that come with entering higher education.
Special thanks were given to the Jazz and Heritage Foundation for sponsoring the program and supporting the initiative.
